February 15, 2019: Early-Bird Registration and National Scholarship Application Closes
- Last day to register with fully refundable registration. After this date, $50 deposit becomes non-refundable.
- Early-bird registrations must be paid in full by February 15, 2019, at 11:59 p.m.
- Last day to apply for our national scholarship
- Accepted applicants will be registered by AAUW staff and declined applicants will be eligible to register at the early-bird rate.
February 16, 2019: Regular Registration Opens
- Registration fees increase to $585.
- Includes non-refundable $50 deposit per registrant due at time of registration.
- Early-bird registrants who have not paid in full are removed from registration and refunded their deposit.
Note: If a state, branch, or member is holding a registration spot for a local scholarship recipient but has not yet chosen their student, AAUW will hold that spot passed the Early Bird deadline without penalty.
April 30, 2018: Registration Ends
- Registration closes at 11:59 p.m. ET.
- Payments are due in full.
- Registrants who have not paid in full forfeit their $50 deposit and are removed from registration.

Individual and Group Registration
Individual: Register as an individual if you are not attending as part of a group. If you are part of a group contact your group coordinator prior to registering to prevent duplicate registrations.
Group: If you are attending NCCWSL as part of a group a group coordinator is required to enter contact and registration information for each attendee. Coordinators may or may not be attending NCCWSL themselves.
Group coordinators: You’ll need all of your attendees’ information on hand at the time of registration. When registering a group, coordinators can add and edit attendees’ information using their own logins. If an individual needs to make changes after the coordinator has completed a group registration, please follow the instructions in the confirmation email.
Group Discount: A 15 percent discount is available to anyone registering four or more attendees as a group for the conference.
Residential and Commuter Registration
Residential registrants receive housing for three nights (Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday) in campus residence halls. Saturday night housing is available for $60 per person per night. We do not offer housing on Tuesday night prior to the start of the conference.
Meals provided during the conference, regardless of registration type, include Wednesday dinner, Thursday breakfast, Thursday lunch, Friday breakfast, Friday lunch, Friday dinner, and Saturday breakfast.
The program will include an opening session, Women of Distinction Awards ceremony and reception, keynote and other featured speakers, the Career and Graduate School Fair, hands-on and skill-based workshops, panel discussions with featured speakers, a Thursday night out in Washington, D.C., and the closing session.
NCCWSL provides free bus transportation for attendees for a night out in Washington, D.C., and University of Maryland shuttles on Wednesday before the conference and Saturday after the conference to and from the nearest Metro station (noon–5 p.m.). Temporary reserved parking will be available near the registration site at La Plata Hall. If you are parked in reserved spots you do not have to pay at the parking stations. Bring your luggage with you to registration and request a parking permit. You will leave your luggage with staff and move your car to a designated long-term lot after you register.

Photography and Promotion
Photographers and videographers will be covering this event to promote future conferences and programs. If you do not wish to be photographed or videotaped, please let the photographers/videographers know. For more information on AAUW’s photo policy, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Commuter registration includes …
All of the above except housing and free parking. You will receive instructions for parking your car in a pay station guest lot during registration. Commuter registrants are not provided with free parking.
Payment and Cancellation
IMPORTANT: Registrations are not considered final until your full payment has been received. Please see below for our cancellation policy. Credit card payments are preferred.
Credit Cards: To guarantee your reservation, pay by credit card during your registration. If you need to pay by credit card after you have completed your registration, you can log back into your registration at any time by following the instructions in your registration confirmation email.

Please write AAUW-NCCWSL as the payee. Please include the names of the attendees, their registrant ID numbers, and a copy of your/their registration confirmation email. You will receive confirmation when your payment has been processed.
NCCWSL Registration Cancellation, Transfer, and Refund Policy
Early Bird registration includes a $50 refundable deposit, per registrant, until February 15, 2019. After the Early Bird period passes, If a cancelation request for a NCCWSL registration and/or additional items is received by 11:59 p.m. (EDT) on April 30, 2019, AAUW will refund your payment, minus your deposit. All refunds will be processed within 6–8 weeks. Beginning May 1, 2019, no refunds will be given. Registration transfers will be accepted until 11:59 p.m. on April 30, 2019. Limited exceptions (serious illness, death of a family member, etc.) apply. Cancelation requests should be sent to email@example.com.
The AAUW National Scholarship Application will open October 15, 2018, and close at 11:59 p.m. on February 15, 2019. Students must apply through AAUW’s online application to be considered for a national scholarship. (Students who apply for a national scholarship, DO NOT fill out a separate registration.) AAUW offers both full and partial national scholarships, awarded upon availability. Scholarships do not include travel or other additional expenses.
If a student receives a partial national scholarship and is in need of assistance for their remaining registration fees and/or travel expenses, they are allowed to make up the difference in cost from a local scholarship. Students who receive a full national scholarship are also allowed to accept local scholarships for travel expenses. Students are not allowed to accept a full scholarship from AAUW national and a full scholarship from an AAUW state, branch or member.
Full scholarships cover:
- Regular residential or commuter registration (award amount of $585 or $405, respectively)
- Scheduled meals
Partial scholarships cover:
- 50% of the base regular registration fee (award amount of $292.50 for residential or $202.50 for commuter)
- Scheduled meals
